During my work in the Corporate world I gained a wealth of experience and knowledge. In 2009 I was laid off just before Christmas and left with a New Years resolution to change the structure of the my career and reach for the goal of being my own boss. This is when Candace's Small Business Services came to life.
I completed my education at Sheridan College achieving my diploma of Business - Accounting, my tax accountant certification, Small Business Bookkeeper certification and Accounting certificate (Advanced accounting techniques). I have trained in both Simply Accounting and Quickbooks (which I used to teach at the college level). After achieving my educational goals I moved onto my certification, currently a level 3 equivalent CGA, CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper), CB (Certified Bookkeeper), Certified Quickbooks Advisor and a registered representative with CCRA.
When I am not working I love to spend time with my dog going hiking and if the weather is nice taking him for a good swim. My business is home based which allows a lot of inpromptu belly rubs!
